Product name: Maniglia table lamp by De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi for Stilnovo, 1970s
Maniglia table lamp designed by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi for Italian lighting manufacturer Stilnovo.
We found the following description in a Stilnovo advertisement from 1975 -translated from Italian-: “New quality of design. Light, it moves with the touch of one finger. Perfectly balanced, it can be oriented in all directions. Subtle but robust. Structure in high resistance thermoplastic material, with cooling ‘fins’.”
The transformer is cleverly mounted at the end of the 82 cm long arm of the lamp. It acts as a counterweight so the lamp can move in all directions. The maximum height of the lamp is 102 cm. The condition of the lamp is good, with some loss of paint on the base of the lamp (see picture 5) and a small crack in the round black knob (see picture 6).
We also have two Maniglia floor lamps in our collection. The combination of the three lamps is very nice.
