Bilobo glass pendant designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa and manufactured by Flos in the 1970s.

The oval anodized aluminium base has two retractable attachment points, which can, almost without contact, be inserted inside the glass shade. The shade itself is semi-opaque made irregular with bits of silica.

The similar designed Sfera pendant is described in the ‘Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000’ by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 113 (1964).

In the Discover section of our website you can find an exclusive interview with Tobia Scarpa where he told us: “I used to tell myself that I have the magic touch…”, because everything he did worked out so well right from the start of his career.
