Product name: Nigritella pendant by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Flos, 1960s
White Nigritella pendant designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Italian Lighting manufacturer Flos in 1961.
This Nigritella pendant consists of a metal cap with in the middle a row of perforations forming a luminous decoration, a circular grate for the passage of light and air and, below, a pressed glass shield which covers the lightbulb.
The pendant is in very good vintage condition with some minor spots and scratches caused by age and use. The glass shield is in good condition and the electrical system is original. The fitting of this Nigritella pendant hangs from a white spiral electrical wire that hides a thin metal rope for height adjustment.

In the Discover section of our website you can find an exclusive interview with Tobia Scarpa where he told us: “I used to tell myself that I have the magic touch…”, because everything he did worked out so well right from the start of his career.
