Model 526 Table lamp by Massimo Vignelli for Arteluce, 1960s

This elegant model 526 table lamp was designed in 1965 by Massimo Vignelli for Italian lighting manufacturer Arteluce.

Model 526 is a table lamp with a base that consists of three concave chromed sheets. This base is covered by white perspex shades. It has been produced in two different sizes; this is the smaller version, Model 526/P, with a height of 45 cm / 18 inches. The lamp uses 3 light bulbs for beautiful spherical light.

Good vintage condition with minor patina on the metal parts.

Giuliana Gramigna mentions this lamp in her standard work on Italian design Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 on page 121 (1965).
