Product name: Murano glass pendant by Massimo Vignelli for Venini, 1950s
Hand-blown glass pendant designed by Massimo Vignelli at the start of his impressive career in design and executed by Murano glass specialist Venini. The color of the lamp is light beige, turning to yellow or white when switched on, depending on the light bulb that is used.
The lamp is in good vintage condition. However it has a few minor damages (chips) on the top of the lamp due to the construction with the metal suspension, this is normally not visible and therefore, according to us, not disturbing. We priced the lamp accordingly.
If you like to read more about the collaboration between Vignelli and Venini; in the Discover section of our website you can find an interesting article on the first joint project of both masters of design and a second article on the other lamps he later designed for Venetian glass maker Venini.
