Black Slalom table lamp by Vico Magistretti for O-Luce, 1980s

Slalom table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti in 1981 and produced by Italian lighting manufacturer O-Luce.

The lamp, also referred to as model 279, has an adjustable structure consisting of a C-shaped black steel tube that serves as a base and from which a vertically tilted stem emerges. The cylindrical reflector has a black plastic handle suitable for changing the orientation of the light. The Slalom table lamp can also be mounted on the wall (the original bracket is included).

This piece is in mint condition as it has never been used before (new old stock).

It is described in the Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 304 (1981) and was nominated for the Compasso d’Oro in 1984.
