Monet pendant by Vico Magistretti for O-Luce, 1980s

Monet pendant, designed by Vico Magistretti in 1980 and manufactured by O-Luce.

The model consists of four painted aluminum discs connected by a 62 cm / 24 inch wide curved metal rod with small spherical joints.

The discs (diameter 35 cm / 14 inch) are normally positioned at a 45° angle so as to form a truncated conical shape. They are adjustable and could for instance also be reversed with the larger ‘opening’ facing upwards.

The Monet series consisted of a table lamp, a floor lamp and a ceiling lamp with eight discs.

The minimalist design of the lamp makes a beautiful combination with the  functional elegance of the Kuta wall lamps.
