Monet Table lamp by Vico Magistretti for O-Luce, 1980s

Monet table lamp, designed by Vico Magistretti in 1980 and manufactured by O-Luce.

The lamp consists of a heavy, round metal base and a structure with four adjustable round aluminum discs. The discs (diameter 35 cm / 14 inch) are attached to a horizontal curved metal rod of 62 cm / 25 inch.

The discs are normally positioned at a 45° angle so as to form a truncated conical shape. They are adjustable and could for instance also be reversed with the larger ‘opening’ facing upwards.

The Monet series consisted of a table lamp, a floor lamp and a ceiling lamp with eight discs. Due to the maximum height of 75 cm / 30 inch, this table lamp can also be used as a floor lamp.

The lamp makes a beautiful combination with the Monet pendant and the Kuta wall lamps.
