Set of Edy lamps by Piero Castiglioni for Fontana Arte, 1980s

A set of Edy lamps designed by Piero Castiglioni for Fontana Arte in 1982.

Besides these table and floor lamp, the Edy series of low-voltage lamps consisted of a hanging lamp and a wall lamp.

The main part of the lamps is tube-shaped, it contains a halogen light bulb, and it is made of lacquered metal and a mat glass diffuser.

The construction with the extra long electrical wire (10 meters/ 393 inch long), allows the lamps to be used as portable lamps. Another feature of the Edy lamps is the suspension ring at the end of the main tube-shaped body. The frames are made of varnished metal.

The height of the table lamp is 44 cm / 18 inch and the height of the floor lamp 122 cm / 49 inch.

Very rare set.
