Pair of Area 50 pendants by Mario Bellini for Artemide, 1970s

Pair of Area 50 pendants, designed by Mario Bellini and manufactured by Artemide in the 1970s.

This model consists of a white body in polycarbonate and a cream coloured diffuser in synthetic textile. A plastic part together with the light bulb holder presses the inner part of the diffuser up, thus creating a flower-shaped pattern.

The Area series by Mario Bellini includes various hanging, floor and table lamps. These two lamps are the suspension pendants with a rise and fall mechanism that allows for the height of the lamp to be easily adjusted.

The lamps are in very good condition. The shades are in excellent condition as they has never been used before. The lamps come with the original ceiling caps.
