Large Snow Table lamp by Vico Magistretti for O-luce, 1970s

Large Snow 201 table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti in 1973 and manufactured by O-luce.

The table lamp features a white marble cylindrical base, black lacquered stem and an opal methacrylate cone shaped shade. The end of the stem is shaped like a ball and contains the two light bulb holders (originally for E27, maximum 60W). The shade rests by gravity, without the use of screws, on the end of the black lacquered metal stem.

This table lamp is part of the Snow series, consisting of a pendant, floor lamp and this table lamp. According to Archivio Vico Magistretti: “A synthesis of elegance and simplification”.
