Product name: Large arc table lamp Coupé by Joe Colombo for O-Luce, 1967
Beautiful and rare clamping table lamp Coupé manufactured by O-Luce, designed by Joe Colombo in 1967.
The lamp consists of a large arched arm and a white cylindrical shaped shade. The lamp is adjustable in many ways. The white clamping element on the base allows adjustment in height, whilst the shade can be rotated up, down and sideways.
The base and the shade are executed in white lacquered metal and the arc is made of chromed stainless steel. The closed top plate lets some light through a narrow slot when the lamp is on.
Coupé is designed as a table, wall and floor lamp. The floor lamp is described in the Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 141 (1967). This Coupé clamping lamp is an advancement of the Spider lamp that was designed by Joe Colombo in 1965.
