Henri Mathieu designed this highly original fixture that consists of three pendants around 1970. Each pendant is approximately 19 cm / 7.5 inches in diameter and 26 cm / 10 inches high. The three pendants can be hung at different heights.

The pendants that are shaped like double conches and are made of bands of brushed metal. The internal surface of the blades is lacquered pale purple. When illuminated the lamp radiates a feeling of warmth.

The condition is consistent with age and usage. Some minor scratches are visible on the individual pendants.

This lamp is sometimes wrongly attributed to Lyfa Denmark. Potentially because it resembles the Konkylie, a somewhat comparable pendant with metal bands, designed by Louis Weisdorf and-indeed-produced by Lyfa.
