Product name: Tapira desk lamp by Gian Emilio, Piero and Anna Monti for Fontana Arte, 1970s
Tapira desk lamp designed by Gian Emilio, Piero and Anna Monti (Studio GPA Monti) and produced by Fontana Arte, during the 1970s.
The lamp is made of plastic and contains an opaline glass hemisphere. Above this glass hemisphere are two wings that can be turned outwards independently of each other, and by doing so the light intensity can be adjusted.
There are switches under both black round details, with both switches the (only) lightbulb can be switched on or off. The lamp has an inlay to store some small items.
G.M.A. Monti also designed a similar wall model lampira, that we also have in our collection (see below).
The lamp is in good vintage condition. Rare piece.
