Product name: Teli pendant by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, 1970s
Teli pendant made of synthetic fabric was created by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and produced by Flos in the 1970s.
Teli was designed to showcase the quality of the soft filtration of the light by the material Raflon, a new polyethylene fiber that was used for packaging. Kartell stopped the production of this pendant in 1967, after which Flos took over the production in 1973.
The pendant is constituted by a sheet of fabric leaning on a white lacquered metal plate held down by the weight of chromed metal rods that are inserted in the edges of the fabric itself.
Teli is described in the Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 68 (1959).
Comes in the original Flos packaging.
In mint condition.
