Focus table lamp by Fabio Lenci for Design House Guzzini, 1960s

Focus table lamp, designed by Fabio Lenci and manufactured by Design House Guzzini in the 1960s.

The lamp consists of a chromed metal frame in which the sphere can be oriented in any direction. The chrome-plated bulb holder can be positioned into the sphere to a greater or lesser extent to create different lighting conditions. The bottom half of the sphere is white; the top half is in partly mat and partly translucent plexiglass.

The Focus table lamp is part of a series with two floor lamps (one of which is an arc lamp), a pendant lamp and a wall lamp.

The lamp is in a very good vintage condition, with some hardly visible hairline cracks on the underside of the top half of the plexiglass sphere, where the sphere touches the metal band.
