Product name: LT 323 Table lamp by Carlo Nason for A.V. Mazzega, 1960s
Model LT 323 Table lamp designed by Carlo Nason and manufactured by A.V. Mazzega in the 1960s.
The ingenious hand blown- object consists of two symmetrical opaline glass halves, one central light bulb and a square metal support base. The halves are rectangular on the outside; on the inside they both contain an inwardly shaped hemisphere. When the lamp is switched on, the existence of the combined sphere is accentuated by the use of white glass.
The glass parts evidently are waterproof and documentation suggests that the lamp could also be used as a flower vase.
The lamp is in very good vintage condition. The Murano glass of the LT 323 table lamp is quite thick and therefore it is relatively heavy (16,2 kilos / 36 lb).
Rare piece.
