Area 50 pendant by Mario Bellini for Artemide, 1970s

Area 50 pendant, designed by Mario Bellini and manufactured by Artemide in the 1970s.

The lamp consists of a white body in polycarbonate and a cream coloured diffuser in synthetic textile. A plastic part together with the light bulb holder presses the inner part of the diffuser up, thus creating a flower-shaped pattern.

The Area 50 series includes various hanging, floor and table lamps. This is the suspension pendant with a rise and fall mechanism that allows for the height of the lamp to be easily adjusted.

The body of the lamp and the shade are in excellent condition as the lamp has never been used before. It comes with the original -also unused- ceiling cap.
