Model 537 Table lamp by Gregotti, Meneghetti & Stoppino for Arteluce, 1960s

Model 537 table lamp designed by Vittorio Gregotti, Lodovico Meneghetti and Giotto Stoppino and manufactured by Arteluce in the 1960s.

The lamp consists of a relatively heavy base flattened on one side for stability and a rotatable aluminium shade. It is in very good vintage condition with one minor spot and minor traces of usage (see pictures). The electrical cord may have been replaced by the previous owner.

Giuliana Gramigna described the lamp on page 140 of her ‘Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000’ (translated from Italian) as a: “mono volumetric table lamp, with weighted base made, entirely of aluminum sheet.”
