Model 541 table lamp designed by Antonio Macchi Cassia for Arteluce in 1968.

As indicated in Arteluce’s catalogue AL Milano: “Table lamp, the upper magnetize sphere slips in all directions on the lower sphere, metal parts white or black.” The lamp consists of two parts; a spherical, rather heavy, base and a second sphere containing the lightbulb fitting and a reflector. Both parts are connected to each other by a magnet, which means that the top part can be turned in all directions.

This lamp by Macchi Cassia is in very good vintage condition, with some small (not disturbing) traces that match its age and use. The cord is original and somewhat discoloured. Marked inside the reflector with an Arteluce label.
