Product name: Blue PH 5 pendant by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, 1950s
A blue PH 5 pendant, produced by lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen and designed by Poul Henningsen.
The PH 5 is an iconic illustration of Danish design. It was first introduced in 1958 in the Danish Museum of Decorative Art in Copenhagen. The pendant’s structure is both elegant and innovative: the layered shades prevent glare and provide soft, warm light.
The lamp is rewired with 2 m high-end quality, white fabric cord—for safety and beauty. The lamp is in near mint condition.
If you would like to know more about the wide range of magnificent lamps designed by Poul Henningsen: in the Discover section of our website we have made a start with a series of articles on his superb designs with lots of unique material from catalogues in our collection.
