Product name: Pair of Copper Orient pendants by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup, 1960s
The Orient pendant was designed by Jo Hammerborg in the 1960s. In the Orient series Fog & Mørup produced pendants in two different sizes and, over the course of time, also two table lamps in different sizes. All of them were available in various materials like copper and aluminium.
This is the Orient Major and it is made from red copper, painted white on the inside to maximise the light. The lamps have a rosewood top, which carries the curve of the teardrop-shaped pendant right up to the tip of the lamp. Our lamps also contain diffusers or louvres; integrated by Hammerborg to filter and soften the light.
The lamps are in mint and complete vintage condition. They have been rewired with 2 m high-end black fabric cord—for safety and beauty. The diffusers or louvres are new and have been made according to the original design by Hammerborg.
