Cocktail pendant by Henning Rehhof for Fog & Mørup in red and white, 1970s

This pendant, model Cocktail, was designed by Henning Rehhof in 1971 for Danish lighting manufacturer Fog & Mørup. The lamp consists of twelve aluminium strips, six longer and six shorter ones all painted red on one side and white on the reverse. The strips are hung in a circular frame.

The detachable strips offer many possibilities of assembly and colour combinations. Or like described in an advertisement from 1971 “Just by re-arranging the 12 loose red-white aluminium strips, you are creating new, exciting colour effects and thus bring different moods in the living room.”

The lamp is rewired with 2 m high-end quality, white fabric cord—for safety and beauty. The lamp is in good vintage condition with some wear and scratches on the paintwork. Everything though consistent with age and use (see photos).
