Gamma wall lamp designed by Sergio Mazza for Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide in the 1960s.

The lamp is adjustable. It has two hinges, at the beginning and end of the rod, that allow the lamp to be adjusted in different ways.

Several Gamma models have been made by Artemide; this wall lamp stands out because of the beautifully pressed glass on both sides of the reflector and the perfect ratio between the length of the rod and the size of the reflector.

The condition of both the nickel and the glass of this piece is very good.

Gamma is part of a range of lighting models named after the Greek alphabet. Other lamps from this series are amongst others ‘Delta‘, ‘Kappa’, ‘Omega’, ‘Pi‘, ‘Sigma’ and ‘Tau‘.
