Model 526 Table or Floor lamp by Massimo Vignelli for Arteluce, 1960s

This elegant lamp model 526 was designed in 1965 by Massimo Vignelli for Italian lighting manufacturer Arteluce.

Model 526/G is a table or floor lamp with a base that consists of three concave chromed sheets. This base is covered by white Perspex shades. It has been produced in two different sizes; this is the larger version with a height of 60 cm / 24 inch. The lamp uses 3 light bulbs for beautiful spherical light.

Giuliana Gramigna mentions the smaller version of this lamp in her standard work on Italian design Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 on page 121 (1965).
